PetroVietnam leader meets India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam
On 10th March 2015, at the headquarters of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Vice President Le Manh Hung had a meeting with Ms. Preeti Saran, India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.

Opening the meeting, the Ambassador delighted to appreciate the progress in the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India in various sectors, especially in the oil and gas sector. The Ambassador hoped PetroVietnamwould introduce more potential, effective upstream and downstream projects to the oil and gas companies of India in the future.
Vice President Le Manh Hung affirmed that PetroVietnamalways considered Indian partners as strategic ones. Also, he encouraged the Indian partners to participate in the blocks opened in the continental shelf of Vietnam, and hoped India would introduce the oil and gas blocks in India to PetroVietnam.
So far, besides the continued implementation of the oil and gas production sharing contracts in Vietnam, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited of India (ONGC) have signed many documents, cooperative agreements to promote cooperation between the two sides in the oil and gas projects in Vietnam, India and other countries in the world.
The visit of Ambassador Preeti Saran is as confirmation of India's interest to the cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Preeti Saran affirmed to closely cooperate with two countries’ authorities to promote effective implementation of the agreements consented by Vietnam and India.
